Galleon to play Brisbane Pride Festival – FairDay Main Stage – Sat 21st September

Kut Above regular and House/ Disco Don DJ Galleon will be bringing his uplifting and soulful musical vibes to the Brisbane Pride Festival Main Stage next Saturday the 21st of September.

He will be opening up the festivities at the Pride FairDay in New Farm Park at 11 am on the main stage before also concluding proceedings at the community stage at 5 pm. It’s no coincidence that he is both opening and closing the festival as there is truly no person more fitting, deserving and capable for the job.

Check out the full lineup of amazing performers and get yourself down to New Farm Park next Saturday for what is sure to be a spectacular, vibrant and fun filled event celebrating love, unity and of course Pride.

THE KUT ABOVE MIX SESSIONS (VOL 5): GenErik – LIVE AT THE LORD ALFRED – 03.08.19

It was an absolute honour to have one of my all-time favourite Brisbane DJ’s featured at Weekends with Dastardly Kuts and Friends at The Lord Alfred Hotel recently and this mixtape is set to be the first of many from the always impressive GenErik.

This mix has been on repeat in the Kut Above studio for well over a month now and features the finest balance of both fresh and timeless tunes, all served up with GenEriks mind expanding, genre-bending and mashup blending style.

Enjoy

THE KUT ABOVE MIX SESSIONS (Vol 3): Dastardly Kuts – LIVE AT THE LORD ALFRED – 13.07.19

This set recorded live at the Lord Alfred Hotel as apart of “Weekends with Dastardly Kuts and Friends” was also my first time DJing on the same night as the NRL Broncos football game which was being played just down the road at Suncorp Stadium.

It was a cracker night and my set followed the mood of the venue, with a laid back funky vibe at the start of proceedings eventually evolving into a straight-up party by closing time.

It was definitely one of the more fun gigs I have played this year and I’m super glad I remembered to press record at the start of my set. I hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed playing it!
