The Lord Alfred Hotel on the corner of Brisbane’s iconic Caxton Street recently began hosting Weekends with Dastardly Kuts and with a music policy that’s all about keeping things fresh, fun and funky, they picked the right guy for the job.
Wanting my inaugural guest to bring something special to proceedings, I just couldn’t go past one of Brisbane’s most talented and inspiring DJ’s, who also happens to be one of my best buds. DJ Galleon!
With the evening having a winter chill in the air, Galleon and I kept things toasty warm in Alfred’s Bar with a back to back set featuring something for everyone. From funky jams, dirty disco, sexy house and bumpin’ beats we rolled with what worked and with the punters digging the ol’ school flavours, that’s a big part of what we delivered.
Galleon and I had a blast and will likely be hitting the decks at the Alfie again very soon but until then, enjoy the first of many Weekends with Dastardly Kuts and Friends live mix session recordings.
